It was on my bucket list to see a morepork at some point in my life and
finally I got my opportunity, and I happened to have my camera on me at
the time so I got the bonus of capturing it too. It’s unusual to see
them during the day but this sleepy one was trying to nap close to the
track path at Tawharanui Regional Park one summer’s afternoon as my
husband and I were walking past.
